Interior of a cozy coffee shop with brick walls, black menu boards, and industrial-style pendant lighting. Two baristas are behind the counter, one of whom is preparing an order while the other stands nearby.

OIKOS Café

The café is run by OIKOS Church. It is open 6 days a week to welcome the local community with the hope of showing and sharing the gospel with all that come in. It opened in 2016 has become a hub for the community of Erdington. The café is run by two managers who are part of OIKOS Church and we rely on over 20 volunteers a week to keep us running. Some volunteers are part of the church, but many are from the local community.

We offer schemes to help get people learn a trade and get a job in the hospitality industry. We also have volunteers who are in recovery from drug/alcohol addiction and we also help asylum seekers learn English and a trade to prepare them for work. Our heart is always to share the reason for the hope that we have with volunteers and customers.
